Summer Camp Involvement

Summer Staff:

CAMREC is seeking summer staff with a desire to enrich the lives of youth through recreation, fellowship, and worship in an outdoor setting. We offer youth programs covering grades 1 through 12 over approximately four weeks of summer camp. Explore the job descriptions and summer calendar below and APPLY HERE when you are ready!

Job Descriptions:

  • Assistant Program Director     

Summer Volunteers:

Below is a list of different ways to get involved and a brief description of the roles:

​

Medic: present throughout the camp duration to administer medications, provide first aid care, etc., must a certified medical professional.

Kitchen leader or helper: help to prepare all meals throughout the camp duration

Lifeguard: present at all water activities to help create a safe experience (lake front, river tubing, etc.), must be certified through a nationally recognized program

Pastor: lead Bible discussions, share stories, lead skits, etc. during daily Camp Fire and bible sessions

Crafts leader: lead multiple craft sessions (can be creative with different ideas related to camp theme)

Nature leader: lead multiple nature sessions

Music leader: lead music at Morning Watch and Camp Fire every day

Facilities Manager Job Announcement

​

Washington Mennonite Fellowship (WMF) seeks a year-round Facilities Manager for Camp CAMREC. Located in the heart of the Cascade Mountains, CAMREC is just twelve miles from Leavenworth, Washington. The Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and physical operations of the camp. This includes management of camp facilities, grounds and forest resources at CAMREC. In addition, this includes coordinating with the Executive and Program Directors in regards to camp activities and groups.  Applicant must have strong maintenance experience and skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively.

 

Qualifications include: Ability to support a Mennonite/Anabaptist perspective; resonant with the mission of Camp CAMREC; ability to relate to a wide variety of ages and people; good communication skills; an energetic motivator and self-starter; commitment to practical and sustainable practices; maintenance experience with plumbing, electrical, structures, fixtures, mechanical systems, carpentry, grounds keeping, operating machinery, and snow removal.   

 

FTE negotiable. Ideally seeking .75 to 1.0 FTE.

Starting salary:  TBD

Benefits: on-site housing (includes utilities, garbage, phone, internet, appliances)

We need musicians, artists, and storytellers. We need folks to sit on committees, plan programs, lead retreats, and recruit volunteers…
